The time the car needs to accelerate is not quite correct as the road is leading uphill a bit.
Gearshifts occur as follows:
into 2nd gear at 31 mph (50 kph) and 5700 rpm
into 3rd gear at 56 mph (90 kph) and 5700 rpm
into 4th gear at 87 mph (140 kph) and 5700 rpm
into 5th gear at 125 mph (200 kph) and 6000 rpm
When accelerating beyond 125 mph (200 kph) it would be better to shift into 5th gear at 5700 rpm
(118 mph, 190 kph). However, if 125 mph are enough, I think it is faster to reach that speed in 4th without the
additional gearshift.
